About our Wire Thread Repair - Hand Taps
We are proud to supply our range of German manufactured HSS wire thread repair Insert hand taps. These high quality and durable taps, are ideal for general engineers, jobbing shops, production facilities, model engineers, hobbyists and mechanics when using thread repair inserts to resurrect a damaged hole. Unlike a standard hand tap a wire thread insert tap is a larger diameter than the damaged hole. Once the pilot hole (see drill size above) has been drilled and then tapped with this insert, the thread repair insert can be installed returning the damaged hole to the original size.

Machine taps are also available from our Thread Repair section if repairing high volumes of holes.
