These holders are designed for Swiss and Automatic Lathes. Swiss turning (also known as Swiss machining), is a CNC machining process performed on a high precision lathe designed specifically to produce intricate and small parts with a high tolerance. Unlike toolholders for general lathes, Automatic / Swiss style holders tend to be longer and are more compact.
Toolholder Features
This toolholder features a pocket where a torx screw secures the insert.
This holder comes with Through Coolant capability, where coolant is directed across the cutting face of the insert. The holders have 2 coolant hose connection ports. One port is located on the square and the other is along the length of the holder. The coolant port not in use can be blanked with the supplied set screw.
