About our High Accuracy Hydraulic Expansion Chucks Reduction Sleeves:
We are proud to supply the Range of Hydraulic expansion chuck reduction sleeves. These are supplied to 0.005mm concentricity at competitive prices.
Tests have shown, when using carbide tools our high accuracy hydraulic expansion chucks can increase tool life by up to 150%.
These holders are designed to mounting plain straight shank tools (without flatted shanks). The chuck accepts it's corresponding reduction sleeve (D2 in the table above) and then an internal diameter (d) to match the desired cutting tool shank diameter. When fitted with the corresponding cutting tool, turning a hex key in the chuck exerts incredible clamping force through hydraulic pressure on the reduction sleeve and cutting tool, or can release them (by turning the opposite direction). This means that the grip is far greater than that of an ER collet, leaving less chance of the tool slipping and is second only to that of Shrink Fit holders (without the cost of an expensive heat inductor unit).
The reduction sleeves are also sealed meaning that coolant will only pass through the centre of a cutting tool (and not the sleeve).
NOTE!!!: Hydraulic Expansion Chucks must not be used with Flatted shank tools. & Cutting tools must be pushed all the way back into the holder or reduction sleeve/collet. Failure to follow these warnings will cause unequal pressure will damage the chuck or collet. |
